These cabins are RUSTIC and secluded in the woods. The owner has 80 acres. The cabins are surrounded by trees. We stayed 2 nights in the Red Oak Cabin. The deck, living room windows and kitchen have great views of the river. The dock is out so we didn’t fish. However, we didn’t ask if there was a good place to fish nearby. The price value of the cabins was great! Due to the lower cost compared to other cabins near Beavers Bend, we were able to budget to rent a boat and 2 ATVs at the lake.

The kitchen and refrigerator were also clean. The kitchen has pots, pans, cutting board, utensils, plates and cups. There are no cooking supplies like spices, oil etc. However, this helps keep the bugs out. I recommend bringing paper towels, paper plates and plastic utensils, then you don’t have to hand wash anything. We brought a couple cooked casseroles so we just heated stuff up in the microwave, which was easy. We didn’t test out the oven.

If your looking to get a cabin in the woods, this is your place. If your looking for a 4star resort this is not your place. It's a beautiful place on the Glover River, which you can see from every cabin. The owner Kim is very nice and friendly, they are also busy with running a farm it's best to call them to get a hold of them. They have no TV or radio in the cabins, we have AT&T and had almost perfect signal if needed. The suspension bridge was out due to floods they have had, also the dock is gone. The have canoes which are free to all guest. They do horseback riding too. It's about 25 mins. Top to Beavers Bend. They have a Queen, Full and two twin beds in the cabin. There is room for a blow-up bed too. They charge per person, which is nice. They also do a 10% off Military discount. The seclusion is nice you can't see the other cabins really since it's heavily treed.

Nice cabins. .

We had a great time. Props to Kim who has GOOD customer service. She is fair and available to answer questions.

I have been here several times. Beautiful and relaxing.

There were NO rodents. There were a few cob webs, dust on the furniture and dust on the ceiling fans. I only saw 2 bugs and I think they flew in when we opened the door. There is a swinging bench in the living room which I liked to sit on. My 3 year old loved it too.

The upstairs loft sleeping areas each had fans. The AC unit worked great but it was loud. It has to work to cool the entire cabin. The sheets on the beds were clean. There is one blanket per bed. There is no internet, telephone or tv. We had good AT&T cellular service while there. My sister-in-law had no Verizon service there. There is a fire pit outside but we didn’t use it although I wish we had. Bring camping chairs to sit around it. There is also a charcoal grill on the deck.

One thing to note is there is no shower, it is a bath tub. The bathroom was very clean, especially the toilet. There were 6 new towels in the bathroom. They still had tags on them.

I only do not recommend this cabin if you have: 1) elderly parents who cannot do stairs or climb into a bath tub 2) dare devil children unaware of their own mortality that may climb over the rails and try to jump off the loft or climb down the steep river bank

The cabin sleeps 6. We had 5 adults and 1 child so we brought a twin air mattress for the child because no one wants to be kicked in the kidneys by a 3 year old in the middle of the night. This place really is rustic. You can get a splinter from the walls, however, the floor, kitchen table and cabinets have been finished so they are smooth.
